Tyler A. McNeil lives by a pen, a notepad, a voice recorder and a mission. From Tyler’s beginnings at The Hudsonian Student Newspaper to his work at The Albany Times Union, curiosity, creativity and perseverance has defined his work. Tyler is a freelance, all-around journalist, artist with experience in print, broadcast and web media. Along with writing and copy editing, he has dedicated much of his time to managing, marketing and increasing productivity through creativity within the Albany Student Press.
Growing up in Waterford, New York, from a graduating class of less than 70 students, storytelling was always a back-road which eventually became an ever-expanding highway. By the age of 13, he had experiences inside The Albany Times Union and The Daily Gazette. He went on to study Broadcast Journalism at the News School of Radio and Television while dedicating time to The Hudsonian. Tyler invites new opportunities ahead to learn, develop and share the many sides of life in the greater Capital Region.
